Wow, it's been a long, long time since I've posted anything to my blog. Shame on me! I've been very busy with life, but am feeling a little more settled and have been working on a project that I thought I would share. A good friend of mine asked me if I could make a favor for a birthday party for an oler woman. She wondered if I had any ideas how to make it in the shape of a hat. That started my creative juices flowing. I searched the web but didn't find quite what I was looking for. Then I found this template at http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_irVqhqkIGHI/S_2scI3cL1I/AAAAAAAAA-I/L5i5a54Q42Y/s1600/top_hat_top_blank.gif. This became the basis of a hat. However, it still wasn't quite what I had pictured in my mind. So then I searched "church hats" and looked through all the images for inspiration. After many (many) attempts, here is my finished product. Thanks for looking!
The hat opens up. You can put a treat inside.
I'm enjoying my vacation/snow day, listening to my Bible and making 30 of these for my friend.
I am new to scrapbooking. While I have always loved crafts, I hadn't ventured into papercrafting before now. After my Black Friday purchase of a Cricut die cutting machine, I was hooked. Since November, I have upgraded from the small machine to the Expression and have bought a Cuttlebug machine as well. I just love it. I decided to create a blog to show my creations. Enjoy!
